Prohibitions and Restrictions on Accepting Shipments
for International Mailing

ADR Cargo does not accept for delivery and does not provide other services for shipments that are, or at our sole discretion are deemed, dangerous, including but not limited to cargo prohibited by the ICAO Technical Instructions (International Civil Aviation Organization), the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (International Air Transport Association), the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road, or other national or international legal acts regulating the carriage of dangerous goods or the provision of other services related to dangerous goods.

Users are prohibited from submitting the following types of shipments for international mailing:

- Dangerous items and those requiring special storage and handling conditions in accordance with IATA and ICAO rules;

- Firearms (including signal, pneumatic, and gas), ammunition, cold/edged weapons (including throwing weapons), electroshock devices and spark-discharge devices, as well as essential parts of firearms;

- Explosive, flammable, combustible, caustic, and other hazardous substances;

- Explosives;

- Gases, aerosol and gas cylinders, goods of hazard classes I through IX;

- Radioactive materials;

- Alcohol-containing liquids and alcoholic beverages;

- Ashes, human remains, human organs and/or tissues, blood and its components, human biomaterials;

- Perishable food products and beverages;

- Aerosol containers;

- Ozone-depleting substances;

- Cash and its equivalents (banknotes and coins, travel, personal, or corporate checks);

- Debit bank cards with a positive balance;

- Live animals and plants;

- Furs and animal skins;

- Pornographic materials;

- Books, encyclopedias, and dictionaries published before 1961;

- Items of exceptional value (such as works of art, antiques);

- Seeds and planting material;

- Ivory and products made of it, animal horns;

- Tobacco and tobacco products;

- Narcotic, psychotropic, potent agents; poisonous, toxic, and other substances;

- Medicines and biological preparations;

- Printed and audiovisual materials, and other visual products that may harm the interests of the state as well as citizens’ rights;

- Items which, by their nature or packaging, may pose a danger to ADR Cargo employees, soil or damage other express shipments and the equipment used during handling, transport, and delivery.

The user must ensure that their shipment does not fall under any of the prohibited types of shipments listed above.
